I actually purchased these large metal hoops to be used as a base for my homemade baby mobile. Rather than using wooden dowel rods, I wanted something circular that would allow me to spread the handmade crochet stuffed animals apart so they could be seen. All in all, I was very happy with the overall size of the hoop, the smoothness of the metal, and how sturdy it is.
